I think someone forgot that the package gnome-system-tools (in [unstable]) exists.
Update it or drop it. It's still on 2.14, 2.20 (and 2.21) is out since ages.
In the AUR there is an updated version of it.

why is it in unstable anyway... gnome i think is stable, right?

same problem with
system-tools-backends (it's a dep of gnome-system-tools)
Too lazy for another BR.

ok, i asked Jan. it is in unstable, because in this version it had only limited support for arch. now there is a up-dated pkg in AUR that should be merged with this one. a dev that uses gnome, is familiar with perl and willing to do so should take this bug and do the merge.

Either I will move it to Community or Extra when I'll get more free time or current gnome-system-tools maintainer in AUR will become a TU and move it to Community by himself (he was sponsored on a way to become a TU recently).
Thus I'm closing this bugreport as "Deferred".
