DetailsI installed archlinux on a fresh hard-drive that had never had an operating system installed on it. When I choose to automatically setup the partitions (and it happened under manual partitioning as well), the system fails to install a boot sector. The Grub install then fails, and no scripts are created for editing either. I had to install Windows first, and then use the archlinux install to wipe it out and repartition.

Additional comments about closing: Cannot reproduce. This may be a bug with cfdisk. I will try to find space to include fdisk as well.

I'll take a look, but I don't have any bare/unformatted HDs to test on.
