Description:
If pstoedit is not installed, working with inserted EPS images creates zombie processes. Number of zombie processes can reach normal user limits (a few hundred) in /etc/security/limits.conf and then openoffice crashes while saving document.

Steps to reproduce:
insert an EPS image, or scroll to an inserted EPS image in a document, or save document with EPS images.


Solution:
I still think this is an OpenOffice issue, but a temporary solution could be adding pstoedit to openoffice-base dependencies.
