If pstoedit is not installed, working with inserted EPS images creates zombie processes. Number of zombie processes can reach normal user limits (a few hundred) in /etc/security/limits.conf and then openoffice crashes while saving document. http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=82776 Additional info: * package version(s): openoffice-base 2.3.0-4, applies to most if not all previous versions as well Steps to reproduce: insert an EPS image, or scroll to an inserted EPS image in a document, or save document with EPS images. Solution: I still think this is an OpenOffice issue, but a temporary solution could be adding pstoedit to openoffice-base dependencies. |

Additional comments about closing: will add pstoedit dep for 2.3.1 pkg. it's easy to install and not worth another pkg update.
