The following packages are not in the gnome-extra group, even though they are part of the GNOME desktop[1]: alacarte, deskbar-applet, ekiga, evolution, evolution-exchange, evolution-webcal, fast-user-switch-applet, gnome-keyring-manager, gnome-screensaver I don't have all these packages installed, but I think it would be nice to include (some of) them in the group. Evolution is probably not worth putting in gnome-extra, as it's a big piece of software, not what usually is a part of Desktop environment. :-/
Just replace the dead shortcut with the new one to your favorite mail program and you're set. ;)
