Description:

The following packages are not in the gnome-extra group, even though they are part of the GNOME desktop[1]:

alacarte, deskbar-applet, ekiga, evolution, evolution-exchange, evolution-webcal, fast-user-switch-applet, gnome-keyring-manager, gnome-screensaver

I don't have all these packages installed, but I think it would be nice to include (some of) them in the group.

On the other hand I request removal of tomboy from gnome-extra.
Evolution is probably not worth putting in gnome-extra, as it's a big piece of software, not what usually is a part of Desktop environment. :-/

If you don't install evolution, you have a dead icon in the menu bar of Gnome. Why not moving evolution to gnome main ?!

In my humble opinion, the missing icons is a very, very minor issue. If don't want any missing icon you just have to install Evolution (and Epiphany, if you haven't). Otherwise, you can just deleted the missing icon(s) and be done with it (as I'm sure most users here have done).

Also, not everyone use Evolution, so install it just to 'fix' the dead shortcut seems a little overkill for me.

Just replace the dead shortcut with the new one to your favorite mail program and you're set. ;)

As far as I remember, gnome-keyring-manager was dropped from Gnome 2.22 in favor of seahorse. And for future 2.24 release, Empathy could go to gnome-extra group.
