I suggested to do a full repo rebuil a while ago to get all binaries built with the new GNU hashing. In the meanwhile we have upgraded a lot of packages but haven't done a rebuild yet.
I would suggest to make a list of all packages that don't have the new $CARCH suffix and rebuild those, as the packages that have the suffix have been rebuilt already with the new GNU hashing. This would make our repositories consistent again in several ways: new packaging standards, new package format, GNU hashing and more important: old packages that don't build with gcc4 will be detected and should be fixed.

corrected the summary because "no .FILELIST" is not a bug now with the new pacman :)

I'm fairly certain a lot of PKGBUILDs need updating, but if things still work, I'm hesitant to just run ahead and start changing things and bumping pkgrel's for no reason.

Still, if anyone wants to submit changes for these things, I would be able to commit them to CVS.
