Description:

If I run ktorrent with an up-to-date system (including testing), I get the error:

ktorrent: ERROR: : couldn't create slave : Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_http'.

If I downgrade heimdal from the testing (1.0.1-2) to the extra (0.8.1-3) version, ktorrent works fine, no errors.

Hmm...did you load up a torrent? The program starts fine, it just gives the error message when it tries to connect to a tracker.

kio_http is in kdelibs. Does konqueror work for you?

It turns out there is some kind of issue between kdemod and heimdal, see http://kdemod.ath.cx/bbs/viewtopic.php?id=216 for more info.

I updated kdemod to its testing repo, and the issue was resolved.

You should have mentioned that you ise kdemod. :-) Please use kdemods bug-tracker/forums when having issues with their packages.
