Network setup fails if you have a Marvell Tech ltd. 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet controller. The controller is recognized but dhcpcd times out when trying to obtain and IP address. Additional info: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=35141 Steps to reproduce: Follow the official installation guide with a 88E8001 Ethernet controller. Solution: Blacklist the module sk98lin. I believe sk98lin is deprecated and should be replaced with sky2 or skge. |
