Since Arch is updating FFMPEG and MPlayer, I think it would be a good time to update x264. There was a SO bump between the version in the repos and the last 20 or so subversion builds. The current version, 680, seems to be very stable. There are a other packages that will need to be updated, such as SWFDEC. |

Custom built using ABS, seems to be working fine for me. Haven't given it the roughest of testing, but I haven't seen any errors with it so far.
Building the new snapshot reveals that there's been yet another SO bump, it's now .57 which meant another rebuild of mplayer. A quick test shows nothing wrong, will test it more extendedly during the weekend when I have some time.
