Description:
The Perl modules are installed to /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/ instead of /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/current/
and insodoing the symlink 5.8.8 -> current is turned into a real directory containing a buggy symlink (after perl update):
see http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/7530 for a similar problem with git.

A solution is to call perl Makefile.PL (with the usual parameters for perl packages) after make: the attached PKGBUILD provides the fix.
