Detailskdevelop has trouble with codecompletition because it needs db to be >=3.0 & <=4.1 but we have a 4.2.x

no, it's an upstream thing ... kdevelop should make their code db-4.2.x or db-4.3.y compatible .... and i hope they will soon

yes, this is fixed. kdevelop includes it's own version of bdb that's compatible with code completion for the KDevelop 3.2 release that will be with KDE 3.4
