DetailsAll kernel modules must be compiled with the same compiler. When installing the nvidia drivers with gcc 3.4, and using the arch linux supplied kernel, errors arise.
When trying to add module, you get this error: nvidia: version magic '2.6.5 SMP preempt 686 gcc-3.4' should be '2.6.5 SMP preempt 686 gcc-3.3' So, when gcc 3.4 is released into current, the kernels will need to be recompiled. |
