DetailsPlease think about to change the kernel config in the following lines:
CONFIG_AGP=y Reason is, nvidia drivers can use their own agp support. On some machines, using nvidia drivers and native kernel agp support will freeze X in several cases. Users could add !agpgart to the modules section of the rc.conf, and use nvidias agp. CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_KOBIL_SCT=m This and the other usb serial devices might be compiled as modules. They do no harm if you don't use such a device, on the other hand, people who use them can run genuine arch kernels. |

I'll look at adding the other one for the next release.
I've noticed that, in 2.6, if AGP is built as modules, direct rendering is not properly detected and enabled in X. Not for my radeon cards, anyway.
