gimp-devel-2.4.0rc3-1 is compiled with poppler support, but it is missing from dependencies (don't know if it is also such in earlier release candidates, because I wasn't running it from command line before). It reports:

/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/poppler: error while loading shared libraries: libpoppler-glib.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

of course manually installing poppler-glib package removes this error message. Is this mistake or convention?

A couple of plugins (like the poppler one) needs extra packages to work. These package are not added as dependencies in order to keep the number of dependencies as low as possible and because they are not needed if the plugin is not used.

I'll add them to the list of optional dependencies in the post-install message.
