Hello. The default Arch kernel only has 300hz timer frequency, which is not high enough for some things. Would it be possible to use the 1000hz option in stead, or perhaps provide an alternate kernel with this?

It's easy to rebuild the package with any option you prefer. 300Hz is a good choise for most users.

kernel26ck (which will be soon removed from the repo http://www.archlinux.org/news/340/ ) and kernel26suspend2 use the 1000hz option.

settiing 1000Hz by default will have negative impact on some tasks as well.
300Hz is a good compromise.
