Details

Description:

boinc_cmd fails to start due to missing shared library libcurl

Additional info:
[stathis@archlinux ~]$ pacman -Qi boinc | grep version -i
Version : 5.8.16-1

[stathis@archlinux ~]$ pacman -Qi curl | grep version -i
Version : 7.17.0-1

[stathis@archlinux ~]$ uname -a
Linux archlinux 2.6.22-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Sep 20 19:43:47 CEST 2007 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1.90GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

Steps to reproduce:

[stathis@archlinux ~]$ sudo /etc/rc.d/boinc attach
Enter the Project URL:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/
Enter your Account Key:
xxxxxxxxxx
Attaching to project
boinc_cmd: error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

[stathis@archlinux ~]$ ldd `which curl` | grep curl
libcurl.so.4 => /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4 (0xb7e9d000)

If I symlink libcurl.so.3 to libcurl.so.4, it works.

Cheers!
