After installing qgis-3.34.0-2 and trying to run it, the splash screen appears but the application does not launch. If one then runs qgis by hand in a shell window, the splash screen appears and disappears and this is what happens in the shell window: $ qgis QGIS died on signal 4 This GDB supports auto-downloading debuginfo from the following URLs: <https://debuginfod.archlinux.org> Enable debuginfod for this session? (y or [n]) [answered N; input not from terminal] Debuginfod has been disabled. To make this setting permanent, add 'set debuginfod enabled off' to .gdbinit. ptrace: Operation not permitted. No thread selected No stack. gdb returned 256 Aborted (core dumped) As long as Arch Linux' minimum hardware requirements remain "x86-64 compatible CPU," packages installed in the conventional way via the distribution's package management system ought to also run on any "x86-64 compatible CPU." Suggest rebuilding this and future versions of this package with -march=x86-64 and -mtune=generic. Steps to reproduce: Install qgis-3.34.0-2 via pacman -S and attempt to run it |

That is *exactly* how all Arch pkgs are (supposed to be) compiled. What CPU are you running this on?
You must have something else going on with your system (foreign compiled pkgs, AUR garbage, etc). You'll need to debug this harder.. because at this stage there is no indication of an Arch packaging issue.
