CONFIG_DRM_FBDEV_EMULATION=y [1] and CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_DETECT_PRIMARY=y [2] have been set since 4.19.arch1-1.

Hey, as pointed out by @loqs, you're definitely barking up the wrong tree (Arch already has those config options). You must have something else going on with your system. There are no other reports about a general i915 problem like this.. and there is no indication of an Arch packaging issue here. Therefore this is more suited to the Arch support channels (Forum/IRC/Mailing Lists/Reddit/etc) to see if anyone can assist with troubleshooting your system.

"git bisect" will help you identify the causal commit which you can then report upstream to the kernel folks. If you need help with this, there is plenty of help available in the Forum.
