Can repro. Would suspect SDL related. See also  FS#78988 .

is the use of SDL different than upstream?

Can repro as well. No idea what's wrong here. I also suspect SDL but we're really not doing anything fancy. Can you report this upstream?
Comment by Juest Zungo (Juest) - Monday, 23 October 2023, 16:21 GMT
upstream cannot reproduce, I've notified them but they have no idea about this either.

Might be our compilation flags. Will have to test.

i tested the used configuration flags and it works fine

for the record this still happens on 0.2.9.1.1-1 and can't reproduce with upstream
I experience no issues with the supplied ./configure arguments, what environment is this compiled in?

You will get the exact same package when you compile it using `pkgctl build`. This will use a separate, clean environment, as well as our official flags. I still suspect it's our flags.
