Description:

As the docs say: "A string uniquely identifying the system image originally used as the installation base". Using "rolling" means nothing. This field is optional and even regular scheduled releases like Fedora do not use this field.

What's the point? It's optional, causes no harm, doesn't violate any rules. The news item [1] suggests the current use is perfect. Have notified the PM but this seems pointless. What Fedora does here is irrelevant.
