It doesn't seem like we can ever get it fixed upstream. (Not until that Alice get fired, I suppose.)
If you take a look at the gnome-terminal / evince code (which I linked in my last "spam"), you should see the two libhandy-using gnome apps are already doing the right thing, as opposed to what that Alice said.

And it's pretty obvious that libhandy will cause the warning to be spitted as long as a *user* uses gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme.

And we do need to use gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme for non-libhandy-using app (e.g. firefox).

I know, it's just a warning, and I do admit it is kind of an emotional move to file this, so I won't insist. And just maybe you guys have better "connection" with the GNOME guys and can therefore get some remaining sane people there to actually look at how silly the whole thing is.
