Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  Not a bug, more than likely a configuration file mistake compounded by the use of yaourt.

It probably was yaourt and something is up with your pacman conf file. Pacman only parses the file once when it first starts up.

Closing unless you respond with more information including posting your before and after pacman.conf file.

oh i thought this was gone! i couldn't find the bugreport.. strange...

i grepped yaourt for error and couldn't find anything... that before and after pacman.conf file is nothing but a distant dream...

The error message comes from pacman, I wasn't disputing that. But it is a yaourt issue that pacman is called multiple times and thus is trying to parse the (more than likely) broken config file and/or mirror list.
