DetailsDescription:
My gVim installation crashes constantly after I press any button. It also takes Xorg down (X respawns on a new tty). Unfortunately I cannot give any more details because no logfile prints out anything when the crash happens. Additional info: * gVim 7.1.95-1 on x86_64 * I didn't change my configuration before the problems started Steps to reproduce: Start gvim, press ESC or j. When I load a file (gvim filename), the crash doesn't happen immediately, but occurs too. Things I was doing when it started: I played with my device configuration (switched my keyboard to the evdev driver) and I modified my font configuration. I didn't notice any other problems since then so I doubt that this is related with the gvim crashes. I have current, extra and community activated, but installed a few other packages: warning: binutils: local (2.18-1) is newer than current (2.17.50.0.18-1) warning: compositeproto: local (0.4-1) is newer than current (0.3.1-1) warning: klibc-udev: local (115-1) is newer than current (114-1) warning: libx11: local (1.1.3-4) is newer than current (1.1.3-1) warning: libxau: local (1.0.3-1) is newer than current (1.0.2-1) warning: libxcomposite: local (0.4.0-1) is newer than current (0.3.2-1) warning: mesa: local (7.0.1-1) is newer than current (6.5.2-1) warning: neon: local (0.27.0-1) is newer than extra (0.25.5-6) warning: openoffice-base: local (2.3.0-0.16) is newer than extra (2.2.1-3) warning: udev: local (115-1) is newer than current (114-1) warning: xf86-input-evdev: local (1.1.5-2) is newer than current (1.1.5-1) warning: xf86-input-keyboard: local (1.1.1-2) is newer than current (1.1.1-1) warning: xf86-input-mouse: local (1.2.1-2) is newer than current (1.2.1-1) warning: xf86-video-nv: local (2.1.2-1) is newer than current (2.0.2-1) warning: xf86-video-vesa: local (1.3.0-2) is newer than current (1.3.0-1) warning: xorg-server: local (1.3.0.0-6) is newer than current (1.2.0-5) warning: xproto: local (7.0.10-2) is newer than current (7.0.10-1) |

I used the evdev driver together with the evdev keyboard model (to support the additional keys on my keyboard). As soon as I changed the configuration back to "kbd" and "pc105" the crashes (gvim wasn't the only application affected) vanished.
