package version: 2:2.14.2-1

steps to reproduce:

nm -gD /usr/lib/libfontconfig.so.1 | grep FT_Done_MM_Var

Description: there is no FT_Done_MM_Var defined

there are some external shared objects libraries (proprietary) which have these variables defined.

I have got one libfontconfig.so.1 from GoWin Educational EDA (needed to register) https://www.gowinsemi.com/en/support/download_eda/

There is also from pharo smalltalk virtual machine, I will drop one .so file to help
   libfontconfig.so.1 (1.08 MiB)

Additional comments about closing:  That symbol is from freetype, not from fontconfig.
