pid files of pppd should be named /run/ppp<num>.pid or in case linkname is used /run/ppp-<linkname>.pid which is documented as such. pppd from 2.5.0 actually creates /run/pppdppp<num>.pid and /run/pppdppp-<linkname>.pid which can break scripts. |
