DetailsDescription:
After upgrading slim to 1.4.0 and restarting, I noticed that Xorg runs on TTY2 rather than the normal TTY7. This is because when the PKGBUILD was updated to switch to the now-maintained slim fork, slim.conf stopped being patched to "provide sane defaults" for xserver_arguments (see https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/packaging/packages/slim/-/commit/dc8eb05727b5a8aaf2d5e624220045f8143f18de#9b9baac1eb9b72790eef5540a1685306fc43fd6c_74_57), and without the vt07 argument Xorg defaults to the lowest available TTY. This means that if you switch to VT1 via ctrl+alt+f1, you need to use ctrl+alt+f2 to switch back to X, rather than the typical ctrl+alt+f7. Additional info: * package version(s): 1.4.0-1 and 1.4.0-2 Steps to reproduce: * Install slim 1.4.0 * Run slim * Switch to VT1 with ctrl+alt+f1 * Try switching back to Xorg with ctrl+alt+f7 - this doesn't work because Xorg is running on VT7 * Try switching back to Xorg with ctrl+alt+f2 - this *does* work |

It's just a config option, yes? Maybe add something to the Wiki?

I agree with Toolybird and would prefer to stay with the upstream defaults where possible. Please configure slim.conf to your liking.
