Description:

Instructions printed at the end of installation point to ~/.local/share/weechat which is ignored. It should be ~/.weechat. Confirmed by testing each.

Submitted an edit to Arch wiki for the same change.

An ArchWiki guardian has pointed out that I am witnessing a legacy behavior. The instructions are correct with respect to the latest default of Weechat, which has switched to XDG directories. Old setups trigger some kind of fall-back behavior, where only the old paths but not the new paths work.
