Won't it be better having "make" build using all cores by default?

With: MAKEFLAGS="--jobs $(nproc)"

1. You were already told pacman tickets don't belong here. EDIT: Ok, this is for a change on the packaging side. Eh.
2. No, it's not better. Set it up however you want, keep the make default as default.

I agree with @Scimmia. It's just a config option and also very easy to configure on a per-user basis in "$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/pacman/makepkg.conf" which works everywhere (including clean chroots).
