I dont know, maybe it can be made an optdepend ...
See comments in quodlibet-git (Aur).
it's not a problem except that maybe 4 packages are superfluous (python-requests and his own dependency).
To the packager it is opaque whether the requests dependency of raven is required in the context of quodlibet without major code digging and frankly I have too many packages to care whether there is one dependency too many or not. ;-)
