Description:
vainfo command shows that the video acceleration is not supported for these following card:

- Radeon R4/R5 Graphics
- Radeon HD 8180

Thus kodi or mpv can not use hw decoding when playing videos.

This happens with both Xorg and Wayland.

Steps to reproduce:

Login into the system and run (example below is for R4/R5)

Attached is the output og commadn glxinfo hope that there is more information to debug.

Please note that these device work perfectly under all Ubuntu version from 20.04 and 23.04. I would like to try Arch linux and this prevent me of using it.

Here is the output under Ubuntu 23.04 using the exact same kernel. This is for R4/R5 card. If requested I can get the same for the HD 8180 output as well (it is connected to the TV and I am not near it at themoment)

Hey thanks for posting, but this doesn't belong here. The bug tracker is mainly for actual packaging issues. "I can't get this working" style posts belong in the proper Arch support channels (Forum/IRC/Mailing Lists/Reddit/etc).

Please ensure you have *fully* read and understood [1]. If you're still having trouble after that, please visit the support channels as indicated.
