DetailsDescription:
ltrace had no "proper" release in a long time, however multiple issues are fixed in the upstream git repo, including the rather critical issue of ltrace not working as expected on AMD64 installs with PIE binaries. The upstream lists the current ltrace version as 0.7.91 Steps to reproduce: 1. Run ltrace 0.7.3 on any AMD64 Archlinux install 2. Observe that it is not tracing any library calls |

Additional comments about closing: "Despite rumors to the contrary, the git "main" version of ltrace is not that much better no matter the configure options. May be the correct course of action will be to remove this tool from the distribution outright."

If there are issues with the tool, they need to be reported upstream.
