DetailsDescription:
The `gitui` binary from the gitui package is broken: it segfaults when launched. GDB cannot open and parse the binary, neither can objdump GDB: (`gdb gitui`): ``` "/usr/bin/gitui": not in executable format: file format not recognized ``` Objdupmp (`objdump -d /usr/bin/gitui`): ``` objdump: /usr/bin/gitui: file format not recognized ``` Additional info: * package version(s) 0.23.0-2 * link to upstream bug report: https://github.com/extrawurst/gitui/issues/1773 Steps to reproduce: 1. Install gitui 0.23.0-2 2. Run `gitui` and observe segfault Solution: Recompiling the PKGBUILD of 0.23.0-2 and installing it manually with `makepkg -si` (without any change) leads to a usable binary, which suggests something is wrong with the build in the repos and that it's not an upstream bug. |
