Description:

I am running an AMD Ryzen 5600X and NVIDIA GTX 1070. X won't start as it normally does - the problem only happens when I upgrade the linux package from 6.4.4 to 6.4.6, and disappears when I downgrade with pacman -U.

Additional info:
* NVIDIA driver version: 535.87.05-2
* Also using: nvidia-utils-nvlax 535.87.05-1 (this is slightly wacky so figured might have something to do with it)
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Upgrade Linux kernel from 6.4.4 to 6.4.6

Apologies for any mistakes - this is my first bug report but I have followed the bug reporting guidelines on the Wiki and am happy to provide any further logs if helpful. Attached is an Xorg.0.log from a crashed X launch. I assume it might be helpful to try upgrading to 6.4.6 to collect the logs from dmesg, the NVIDIA driver or something similar. Do let me know and thank you!

nvidia 535.86.05-2 was built for linux 6.4.4.arch1-1 you need 535.86.05-4 for linux 6.4.6.arch1-1.

This looks like a support issue and the bug tracker is not the correct place for that. Please use the proper Arch support channels (Forum/IRC/Mailing Lists/Reddit/etc). Either way, there is no indication of an Arch packaging bug here. It could be a kernel and/or nvidia regression, but you'll definitely want to inspect the system journal to see what's going on.
