Yes, in my experience it really is pot luck (with GitHub). One day the length of the commit SHA is different, then maybe a day or 2 later, it's back to what it was originally. We REALLY need to sort something out...because relying on ever-changing patch checksums is just not viable.
Any thoughts @dvzrv?
