DetailsGnomemeeting would not allow the user to use V4L and my webcamera. I had to manually go to /etc/devfsd.conf and give it special permissions in order to make my webcam to work. That should not have happened IMHO. The same should not happen for audio either, the distro should be taking care of this.

Arch Linux will very rarely update config files (like devfsd.conf) for you. This is left as a manual task to the administrator.
