Description:

both directory are for configurations of mkinitcpio.
to keep things simpler, the team might consider merging them together.
current situation is more or less duplication.

mkinitcpio now lives in the Arch GitLab instance [1] and all mkinitcpio issues need to be filed there. Please resubmit your issue there. Thanks :)
