Upon installing Arch 0.6 I asked for the ehci-hcd module and
the ohci-hcd one. The one is for USB1 and the other one for
USB2, both found on my mobo. So, the ohci-hcd is
properly loaded, but the ehci-hcd does not. I get an error message upon Arch is loaded that says that "ehci_hcd can't be found". I have double checked my rc.conf and modprobe.conf files, I load it correctly, but your kernel/scripts aren't. Please note that I have upgraded to kernel 2.6.5 where the same problem still exists. Trying to modprobe it says that it doesn't exist! Are you sure you have compiled the ehci support in??? USB-2 is a must have! |
This task depends upon
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_HCD=y
# CONFIG_USB_EHCI_SPLIT_ISO is not set
[jvinet@mars kernels]$ grep EHCI kernel24/config
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_HCD=m
ehci-hcd is built in to the kernel 2.6 package, and built as a module in the 2.4 package.
