Details

253.5-1 introduced an upstream regression [1] which notably breaks socket activation for libvirt (amongst others). Not just Arch affected, but Fedora, etc, etc. BBS thread [2]

Has now been reverted [3] on mainline but should find it's way to the stable branch soon. It would be good to get this backported ASAP.
