DetailsThe hostapd package does not enable 802.11ax networking (the CONFIG_IEEE80211AX=y line is commented out). It is marked as experimental in the configuration file, but many users have been using it successfully for years now without issue. In particular, the hostapd shipped with OpenWRT enables 802.11ax networking without issue.
