Description:

Some programs ran very slow, e.g. firefox.
In the journal I see messages like this
'emo-autostart-with-gnome.desktop[5877]: ERROR SET META:24 Timeout was reached'
A couple of them each second.

It looks like two things improve the situation either
* disabling desktop icons or
* downgrading nemo from 5.8.0-1 to 5.6.5-1
or both.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
nemo 5.8.0-1
* config and/or log files etc.
* link to upstream bug report, if any

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrading to nemo 5.8.0-1 and enabling desktop icons with dconf-edit for nemo dektop.

I have no package matching desktop-portal installed. The output is empty.
