Hi. How possible would it be to add fftw support (--with-fftw)? There's an extra/fftw package if it helps.

Ah, I see. My bad for not double checking. If it is possible to make fftw optional as a dynamic library that's linked in then that would be great, otherwise I'm happy for this to be closed and to just use my own fork.

It's not possible to make it optional as it's not a format plugin but rather linked in the core library. However, I don't think the 13 year old argument that fftw is too big stands as of 2023 for a 9 MB library.
