Description:

As of my update to Nautilus 44.2 today, there is a minor bug in the GTK4 calculation to column widths, leading to a horizontal scrollbar persisting always while in the grid view. The report can be seen here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/2980

This has been fixed in upstream GTK, and if it isn't too much trouble, could we perhaps cherrypick this fix up-until the new release of GTK4 is released.

I can confirm that this is definitely a problem and would be super grateful to Jan Alexander Steffens if you would consider sorting this for us. Thank you.
