DetailsDescription:
Recent versions of devtools no longer respect a modified PKGEXT variable in makepkg.conf. I couldn't find where the change happened, so I'm not sure if it was intentional. Additional info: * Versions after 20230307. Steps to reproduce: 1. Change the PKGEXT variable in makepkg.conf to something else, like .xz or .gz. In my example, makepkg.conf is placed in ~/.local/share/archroot/config-x86_64. 2. Create a chroot with `mkarchroot`, this is how I did for example. $ mkarchroot -C "$HOME"/.local/share/archroot/config-x86_64/pacman.conf \ -M "$HOME"/.local/share/archroot/config-x86_64/makepkg.conf \ "$HOME"/.local/share/archroot/arch-x86_64/root base-devel 3. The chroot version of /etc/makepkg.conf should now have the default value for PKGEXT instead of a user-defined one. |
