Description:

xview app broken after upgrade to mutter 44 (frozen or can't open menu window).

For xview app check, see gde in BioArchLinux repo https://github.com/BioArchLinux/Packages

start gde, it will be frozen at both gnome 44 wayland and xorg. xeyes should that it's xwayland app under wayland.

Tried KDE, it works well.

when I click the file menu, it will show like this under KDE, I can't find an extra log under gnome, quite challenging. Behavior is just can't open menu window and frozen.

But I know when I seek to kill it via ppid, I will go back to the gnome display manager UI.

if you can't open it, try

xview is AUR and not supported here. Please report your issue upstream.
