Description:

After upgrade GNOME to 44.1, Firefox is not working anymore, it shows a ugly black screen



Steps to reproduce:
Log in with your current user using GNOME and Wayland and start Firefox from shell or without shell


After install gstreamer-vaapi (not installed before) Firefox works well again

Questions belong in the proper support channels (Forum/IRC/Mailing Lists/Reddit/etc). Please visit.

This is not a valid bug report [1]. The most basic of information relevant to the issue is missing i.e. GPU hardware details, driver in use, whether hardware accel VA-API has been setup [2], whether Firefox has been configured for hardware accel [3], etc, etc. Please work on better bug reports in the future.

Firefox is working fine in a fully updated GNOME test environment for me.
