Description:

qtwebengine 6.5 causes some really annoying issues in qutebrowser. There is a fix for these issues in upstream qtwebengine [1]. Some distributions, such as Gentoo, have already patched their webengine with this fix. Qutebrowser's maintainer, The-Compiler, wanted to ask the arch maintainers to do the same [2].

So, on behalf of The-Compiler and the users of qutebrowser, hereby my humble request to free us from this annoying bug.

As I already said the The-Compiler: qtwebengine needs a big patch to build against gcc 13 which doesn't apply cleanly on top of 6.5.0. Since 6.5.1 is just a few days away, I'm not going to spend time rebasing it. If you, or someone else, needs the fix right now and wants to help by rebasing it, I'll happily apply it.
The patch in question is in https://code.qt.io/cgit/qt/qtwebengine-chromium.git/patch?id=78d4b0d916a6216e394045a3ba11284fe1ced6b0
