DetailsDescription:
this driver version produces incorrect lightning behavior in 3D applications like Games, it also causes several games to produce incorrect mesh rendering in other 3D applications. its a already know fact that this driver version causes several issues and needs to be fixed by nvidia. several other distributions already rolled back to version 525.89.02 which i done manually to fix this issue. as examples. Elite Dangerous(proton), start the Games browse while docked at station the station menu or walk in the hangar. u will notice the massive gfx glitches with meshes and lightning. CS:GO(native-opengl), if the enemy stands inside a shadow area, the complete texture of that enemy turns into very dark color or black. the same happens with player self too. X-COM 1 & 2(native), several lightning issues during mission, several geometry issues during missions. menu glitching also. Additional info: 530.41.03-1 Steps to reproduce: Install driver version 530.41.03-1, use some 3d demanding games or applications |

Reason for closing: Fixed
Additional comments about closing: I'll assume this is fixed with the new driver. If it isn't, please request to reopen.

Also, please post the link to the issue on the NVIDIA forums.
There are a couple of issues over at https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/c/gpu-graphics/linux/148 but I didn't find anything that would seem to fit this error description. Since there isn't really anything we can do about the nvidia drivers and this doesn't appear to be a packaging problem and other distros don't seem to actually agree on rolling it back, I'll close it as upstream in a few days.
Keep in mind, these are mostly binary drivers and there really isn't much we can do except for deciding the places where files land. Please report the issue to nvidia upstream.

What is the last nvidia driver version before this starts occurring does anyone know? I have tried downgrading to an earlier version w/deps but am having trouble not breaking XOrg..
