As per the release announcement for MAME 0.253 (https://www.mamedev.org/?p=523), linking MAME with a C-compiled Lua is not supported, and this package is explicitly overriding the MAME build system's attempts to enforce that. At best, it's creating memory leaks to force it. At worst, it's creating incompatibilities with Lua plugins for MAME. MAME does include a vendored Lua library that can be used to remove dependence on the system lua package. Additional info: * 0.253-1 |
