Description:

JAVAFX app (Scenebuilder for example) doesn't show any character when no default font package for JAVAFX is installed. So I think add ttf-roboto as dependency for this package is a good idea.

Generally speaking, fonts in Arch are the user's responsibility. Some Java specific info here [1]. There are lots of apps that don't work without fonts and we cannot add font deps to all of'em.
