Description:

Trying to compile kernel with latest ld (system up to date with current) ends with:

LD vmlinux
ld: vmlinux: section `.init.text' can't be allocated in segment 0
ld: final link failed: Bad value
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1

Additional info:
pacman -Q glibc binutils gcc
glibc 2.6.1-1
binutils 2.17.50.0.18-1
gcc 4.2.1-3

well i guess your system is broken somewhere, me and thomas did build 21.2 and 21.3 last days with absoultly no problem with new toolchain
