Description:
System freezes (X, console, everything) from time to time (and then goes back to work) when using madwifi version 0.9.3.1.99, works fine on previous version: 0.9.3-4. To me it seems that system freezes when there are problems with association to AP (low signal).

Additional info:
madwifi-0.9.3.1.99 - does not work correctly
madwifi-0.9.3-4 - works fine

Wow, I'm glad I noticed this bug report. I recently bought a pci wireless adapter and tried out madwifi and I was getting lockups every couple hours too - X, input devices, music, everything. I'll have to try different versions of madwifi and see if that helps. Currently I've plugged directly into my router and the freezes have stopped.

I'm using stock Arch kernel 2.6.22.9-1 on a Dell Latitude C400 laptop. Wireless card is a TL-WN560G (http://madwifi.org/wiki/Compatibility/TP-Link).

4 hours into the new madwifi packages and I'm tempted to say that the hard lockups are gone... :D
